Lowrance Elite-5X DSI

The Lowrance Elite line of fishfinders and combo units with chartplotters have impressed the marine electronics industry of late. The Elite 5 DSI unit won the 2010 ICAST award for best in electronics. The Elite 5x shares this pedigree with all of the same scanning and display features of the Elite 5 without the built in GPS. The Elite 5x provides superior detailed scanning with style and simplicity.

The full color monitor measures 5 inches diagonally and has 256 colors with a 480x480 pixel resolution. Superior brightness and contrast provide comfortable viewing both at night and in bright sunlight. The 500 watt transducer will transmit signals up to 200 feet deep and up to 120 degrees wide. These signals then produce images on the monitor that can be viewed in real time and then reviewed later using the Trackback feature. Trackback records all images to memory that can be accessed via the scroll wheel for closer scrutiny and analysis.

Down-scan imaging technology is what really makes the Elite line of fishfinders shine. Crystal clear photo-like images of the underwater world are brought to view and in three dimensional living color. Thermoclines, vegetation, wrecks, ledges, pilings, and fish of all shapes and sizes are revealed with a clarity and level of detail that makes for easy identification. And you don't have to be standing still to gather these readings. Fantastic detail can be attained at speeds of up to 8 mph, while bottom readings can be made at speeds of up to 40mph.

Easy use and installation are also hallmarks of the Elite line. A quick release latch makes for simple and wire free removal of the monitor from the base attachment. The brand new mounting design is engineered for one handed tilt and swivel adjustments and the uniplug connectors provide those with older Lowrance fishfinder models with a seamless upgrade solution.
