Humminbird 898c SI

The Humminbird 898c SI combo unit is a feature rich fishfinder with several upgrades that distinguish it from its lower grade cousins. The most obvious and striking feature upgrade is its 7” full color ultra high definition display. With a wide-screen and a 400x800 pixel count resolution, the 898c SI provides a rich viewing experience.

The 898c SI has significantly ramped up its potential power output as well. The typical power output for most transducers is 4,000 watts. Humminbird has effectively doubled this output to a whopping 8,000 watts peak to peak with an optional 1kW transducer that is fully compatible with the 898c SI. Depths of up to over 1500 feet can be reached with unparalleled clarity.

There is absolutely nothing lacking in terms of latest technologies on this unit. Nearly every feature that Humminbird has to offer in the aquatic fish-finding gadget realm is packed into the 898c SI. You name it, the 898c SI has it. Latest sonar imaging technology? The 898 offers Dual Beam Plus and Side Imaging. Every possible direction is covered. What about navigation? Built in GPS is a given here, but additionally the unit is packed with pre-loaded maps, dual SD card slots for nearly unlimited storage of waypoints, and Lakemaster compatibility which offers enhanced cartography packages and depth contour synchronization.

Humminbird has designed this combo unit with expandability in mind. No other feature allows for this in a more profound way than the inclusion of its Ethernet communications port. Now multiple sonar and combo units can be connected together to share sonar views, maps and waypoints to create an unprecedented fishing environment that can be controlled and viewed like never before. The Ethernet technology can even be used to remotely connect to a transducer or to control up to 6 downriggers. Networks aren't just for home and business offices anymore.
